Nueva Andalucia – Quiet, quaint and Luxurious

Infinity pools, luxury estates, fountains, playgrounds, all under the setting of the La Concha Mountains – if we were playing Jeopardy, your question might be – “What is Marbella?”. Well, you’d be half right because Marbella is a central hub for all that is beautiful on the Costa del Sol, there is no doubt about that. However, hidden within walking distance of Puerto Banus, and cleverly positioned between Marbella and San Pedro is another luxurious location known as Nueva Andalucia.

Nueva Andalucia – Perfect for the Beach Life

The area is as close to perfection you will get out of the Costa del Sol. Only minutes away by car from the beautiful city of Marbella, and only walking distance from Puerto Banus is Nueva Andalucia. If you consider yourself a “beach bum” then this is the spot where you want to invest in a second holiday home on the Costa del Sol or rent a holiday villa for the summer.

Besides the beaches, which are within walking distance, all amenities that you might be are located nearby. The nightlife as well is just around the corner or again, within walking distance if you choose to spend an evening in Puerto Banus. Even though Nueva Andalucia is more residential than a town, it includes all the facilities you might expect from a small town but without the hustle and bustle of a city.

Centred around a bull ring, the location spreads out towards the beach and up to the magnificent golf valley of La Quinta Golf. All of this is located under the Sierra de Ronda mountain range, which of course provides breathtakingly views all around.

The only thing missing from Nueva Andalucia, much like Puerto Banus is a long and vibrant history. You won’t find old buildings, ancient locations or a lot of Spanish culture; however, the best part of this is you can find all the history and ancient locations within walking distance or minutes away by car.

For example, only a few minutes away is the quaint little village of San Pedro. Even though San Pedro has become recently modernized with its new Boulevard, the town itself or Pueblo sits perfectly in time. Narrow streets, cobble stone, and traditional Spanish cuisine is essentially at your fingertips.  Nueva Andalucia is also very close to the mountain town of Benhavis or if you’re feeling really adventurous, you might want to take a trip up to Ronda.

Ronda reveals itself almost at the tip of the mountain. It something you really must see to believe. It’s also perfect for those who love a bit of ancient history and Spanish culture. The cool thing about Ronda is it takes almost 45 minutes to drive up the mountain, and only around 25 minutes coming down – something you might want to discover on your very own.

No Shortage of Golfing in Nueva Andalucia

If it’s golfing you’re after, Nueva Andalucia sits very close to one of the more luxurious locations. La Quinta Golf provides an incredible and beautiful backdrop. Besides La Quinta, there are several excellent courses including Las Brisas, La Dama de Noche, Aloha and Los Naranjos. Each offers excellent facilities, challenging courses and of course, stunning scenery.

For dining out, Nueva Andalucia is renowned for its wonderful selection of high quality bars and restaurants. At the Centro Plaza there is a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and an American Deli. If you want to play the odds, then just up the road is the casino. Nueva Andalucia just happens to be home to one of the best Indian restaurants on the Costa del Sol, The Taj Mahal, and a favourite amongst tourists for its homemade feeling.

Although Nueva Andalucia is the perfect residential area, it is also perfectly located. All around you, you have everything you can possibly need for the perfect vacation spot. Even for expats choosing to move to the south of Spain, Nueva Andalucia has many luxury properties for sale.

Next time you plan on visiting the Costa del Sol, don’t forget about the best location to have a stay – Nueva Andalucia.
